PRAYER FOR PRIESTLY VOCATIONS
Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal High priest you have chosen the apostles as the shepherds to continue your mission in the world and you promised us to be with us until the end of time. We thank you for giving us yourself in the sacrament of the most Holy Eucharist. We thank you for the Holy Catholic Church, our Holy Father, bishops, priests, deacons and sisters.
In this time in history we remember your words "the harvest is great but the laborers are few." As the number of Catholics is increasing in our diocese, we as a community ask you, the Lord of the harvest, to inspire and call young men and women who are totally dedicated to the service of the church. Family is holy and is the nursery of saints. We humbly ask you to make us aware of the fact that every priest is the fruit of the continuous prayers of holy parents and good people elsewhere and now. We humbly petition you to sow the seed of vocations in the hearts of the young men and women of our parish. Amen
